Our Regenerative Practices

The most important factor in a regenerative system is life

The life above and below the ground is what produces the most nutritious and flavorful foods (learn why in science and technology tab)

Our practices encourage life and are rooted in biodiversity above and below the ground

We utilize a swing arm mower to maintain the native grasses and understory plants

This multi species biodiversity above ground encourages biodiversity of micro-organisms in the soil

Pollinator & beneficial insect habitats

Across the farm we have planted wildflower fields and native habitat fields that total 55 acres

These fields function as animal and insect habitats that harbor beneficials which help to control populations of “bad bugs”

Our bees also love the wildflowers

The youngest of the three brothers, Eric is our beekeeper

Eric keeps around 100 hives on the farm year round, these bees play a crucial role in our apples cross pollination

Cover Cropping and Mulching

For new plantings and sandier soils we utilize wood mulch

We have observed dramatic increases in organic matter from this practice that leads to better water retention and soil microbiological responses
